Breaking The Mould: Women's Empowerment & Confidence
Breaking the mould & the boundaries which society has set, should be a difficult one, as it's yet another challenge to overcome & one which I had to overcome at a younger age than most.
Hello beautiful souls,
Welcome to another wet Monday morning here in the UK!
But, it’s not gloomy in the kitchen this morning as you join me just before I go live on Instagram for some morning journaling and intention-setting work, it always makes me feel alive when I help others to see how much they can achieve, just on a Monday Morning.
As always, if you didn’t manage to join me, the live will be saved on my Instagram grid for you to view, so if you aren’t already you can follow me @jemma.e.blythe so you can keep up with the daily posts that go up on there too!
During the last week, I have recorded another podcast with the wonderful Neena Perez who is a lovely business coach from across the pond, who very kindly invited me to speak with her about my journey of accepting my imperfections and how I encourage others to embrace theirs as well. The podcast will hopefully be released in August, I will keep you informed as to when in August too!
Apart from that my week was slower than last week, which is exactly what I needed as last week was probably a little too busy however I have got some exciting meetings this week! Which I’m looking forward to.
I would love to know how your weekend was.
Let me know in the comments.
Read on for my tips on breaking the mould and being yourself in a world led by society.
How Can Women Embrace Their Uniqueness & Stand Out?
As you go through school and work places, it’s easy to become consumed with the fact that you feel as though you have to be like everyone else, however then you start to lose your sparkle and you forget what it feels like to be you.
But, you don’t have to be like everyone else, nor should you be made to feel as though you have to be the same as everyone else. This mostly happens when you show who you naturally are at work and then feel as though you are less accepted by everyone around you.
I know what this feels like, as a Woman with Self-Diagnosed ADHD, it was tough for me both in education and in work. As, I constantly felt as though I was underachieving and everyone else was just doing these brilliant things, like remembering loads of lines and all of the training we had been through.
Then there was me, I struggled to take anything in and I was overwhelmed with how much there was to do daily. It felt like I was drowning, although it should have felt like the best thing in the world to me.
Since then, whilst working on ‘Living Imperfectly Perfect’ I have learned that it should never have been like that, which has only given me more ammunition to proceed with encouraging everyone to truly realise how limiting perfectionism can be.
Here's some techniques which have become my failsafe which help me to break the mould:
Grounding- Just take your shoes and socks off and allow yourself to walk on the grass barefoot, it feels amazing and helps you to boost your energy at the same time.
Brainstorming- Work out what you love and your hobbies, take time to reconnect with the person you are, without other peoples expectations.
Journaling- Daily journaling feels amazing, just to get all of your thoughts and feelings out on to a page which holds zero judgment.
Just Talk- Turn to the people in your support network, tell them how you feel and the things that are happening for you, they may suggest ways they can help or other things you can do.
“It takes nothing to join the
crowd. It takes everything to
stand alone.”

You NEED To WATCH This!
If you love being inspired by strong Women, who know exactly what they want, then this TV drama is for you. ‘Good Girls Revolt’ follows the story of four women at a News Magazine in late 1960’s America.
If you want a good view and take on the challenges Women faced back then, then this is one of the best takes I’ve seen so far. The only bad thing… there’s only been one season, so binging the whole series won’t take you long.
A Little Piece Of Poetry To Start The Week
To be different,
Not the same as another,
Diverse, distinct, peculiar,
These are just some synonyms for different,
Which I hope can make a difference,
In a world of such resistance.

Monday Journal Time
Being different can be challenging, but it can also be a beautiful experience of self-acceptance and knowing where you fit in, as sometimes you have to break the mould to make a new one for yourself.
As always use as many or as few of these prompts as you like, as there is no right or wrong way to do anything when it comes to journaling.
Write a thank you letter to yourself
If you were to show up as yourself, what would that look like?
What can you learn from your imperfections?
Write your introduction on paper… focusing on the positives
Remember this is your time to write whatever you want to write, without any judgement.
Phase It!
The current moon phase for this week is: Waxing crescent in Leo
How to use this week’s moon phase to feel amazing: With the moon in Leo tonight, you might feel safe when you feel appreciated by others, especially when they’re the ones closest to you.
However, during this time it becomes important for you to accept that you are self-critical of yourself and that sometimes you do need to turn towards your own self-validation when you’re in the spotlight, as it’s something you’re not used to.
Accept feedback and use it for your own self-improvement.
Get Involved!
How will accepting your imperfections benefit you?
Answer this and share your Imperfectly Perfect moments on Social Media and use the #liveimperfectlyperfect to get involved in the conversation.
Thank you so much for reading this once again this week and I look forward to reading all of your Imperfectly Perfect moments from the past week.
That’s it from me until Friday when we will talk about overcoming patriarchle timelines! Until then you can find me over on Instagram, where I give self-improvement tips daily.
